FITA Shorter Distances
The thunderstorms of the night before left an infield of sodden mud on the baseball diamond (of the women's side) - the men had solid turf) and most of the shade canopies were mangled beyond use.
The temperatures seem to drop further as shooting began and there was often a light mist in addition to a very inconsistent wind. By the end of the first round the weather had begun to resolve favorably, but there was a single large burst of wind during the shortest distance that signaled the end of the bad weather, even as it toppled numerous scopes and threatened to flip the remaining canopies.
