Here you can see the distance between the fingertab and the bowstring when the formaster's cord is properly set.
With a straight string arm, the archer CANNOT touch the bowstring in the usual manner at predraw.
As the draw commences and the string nears the archer's anchor point, the
fingers/fingertab will come into contact with the bowstring. Do not worry
if your fingers end up touching the arrow, since the arrow will not be going
anywhere anyway. Your focus at this point should be on your back muscles
