Olympic Rounds Competition
The most exciting part of competitive target archery is the OR, which is short for "Olympic Round". During the OR, archers face an opponent and shoot head-to-head for 18 arrows. The winner keeps playing and the loser sits down. After the first few rounds, the arrows are reduced from 18 to 12, and all are shot at 122 cm targets 70 meters away.
For the last matches, each archer has her own target and they two alternate shooting, and so the tension mounts.
