Teammate Lindsey Carmichael was given the task by the team of locating an appropriate traditional gift to give to the IPC Chairman. Working within a limited budget and with the constraints that she had to be able to carry it to Madrid, Spain, she went to Jim Henry, Lago Vista middle school teacher and long-time arrowhead collector. He helped her to identify and choose three examples of native American Indian knappistry (the formation of arrowheads from flint). After choosing a Comanche, Shoshone, and Tonkawa arrowpoint (each more than ~1000 years old), she then found an appropriate deep wooden frame and used a scanner to create an outline of the arrowheads and compose an appropriate short greeting for the facepage opposite from the actual arrowheads. Add a drawstring black velvet carrying case and here's what it looked like:
