2008 JOAD Mail-In Tournament

ATTENTION ALL CLUBS:

This is your invitation to the 21st Mail-In Tournament. Participants must be USA Archery members. If needed, a USA Archery membership application can be found in the forms section of the USA Archery membership link.

Archers shall score an official JOAD round - 30 arrows (10 ends - 3 arrows each) on the appropriate target face and at the appropriate distance (see below). Ten-ring scoring will be used. Three JOAD archers will double score the round with a JOAD Leader present. Scoring rounds from local tournaments may also be used but National Indoor and JOAD Indoor 2008 Tournament scores will not be accepted.

The fee for the tournament is $10.00 per archer. All fees, completed registration form and report forms may be returned at the same time to the Barbara Larrick (Attention: JOAD Mail-In), 42365 W. Somerset Dr., Maricopa, AZ 85238, postmarked no later than March 1, 2008. Make checks payable to USA Archery with JOAD Mail In 2008 in the memo. Or you can pay through Paypal at JOAD4Kids@yahoo.com. If you pay using Paypal, you must send your entry form immediately by e-mail address so I can match your deposit to the participants. Incomplete entries will not be included in final results. Please make sure that each archer's USA Archery membership expiration date is listed. The round may be scored at any time from February 1 - February 29, 2008 and only one score per archer will be accepted.

There will be a team round for an all girls team and an all boys team for both compound and recurve, but not combined. An archer may only compete in one discipline (either compound or recurve). You may enter up to three archers for each team, but only one team for each category. The fee of $15.00 per team must be included with the registration form. You do not need to include individual names on the registration form. For the team round, archers will use their score from the individual round. Junior and Cadet will use their score on the 40cm face. All team scores must be shot at 18 meters. All team members must belong to the reporting JOAD club.

NOTE FOR SENIOR ARCHERS: There will also be a division for adults. They will follow the same rules and you can use the same reporting form. Please encourage the adults that support your club to support this activity also. You can enter adult teams - with the same rules as for the JOAD shooters.

AWARDS: Certificates will be provided to first, second and third place winners, male and female, compound or recurve, for the divisions noted below, and to the male and female, recurve and compound teams when the results have been tabulated and finalized. Details covering Divisions, Ages, Distances and Face Sizes are outlined at the end of this invitation.
