ShareSunbirds 2011
Every 4 years, in the year prior to the Olympic/Paralympic games, Ron Carmichael has held several wintertime outdoor archery events in Jan-March. The primary purpose is to highlight the climate of Texas as being archery-friendly even in the deep of winter, and to provide a start for those archers who will be devoting extra effort towards excellence in the season, towards competing in the Trials Process in the fall, which in turn decides who will be on the USA Teams. Both Sunbirds in 2011 went well, the weather cooperated and was very, very nice - warm, no big winds, lots of sun, a great venue (the University of Texas Archery Fields), and lots of dedicated and accomplished archers both adult as well as junior and cadet.

As a way of donating to the non-profit, 501(c)3 organization that is the Texas State Archery Association, aka TSAA, AND ON A TRIAL BASIS, we are putting a small fee on each photo you might choose to save/print, payable securely and safely through paypal. NO COMMERCIAL USE IS PERMITTED without specific permission of the webmaster or secretary/treasurer. Please write and let the webmaster know if you think this is a bad way to go or have other suggestions - maybe you feel we are charging too much or too little, or it is "just right"? Again, all funds go to TSAA events, tournaments, and clinics that we will hold, to pay for FITA judges for our events, and ultimately, we hope to be able to purchase and maintain land for a permanent archery range open to all TSAA members and hosted tournament events.
