The Texas State Archery Association (TSAA) actively seeks and requests gifts to help provide additional services and resources that might otherwise not be available to Texas archers.  Gifts you make to the TSAA benefit adults and youth archers throughout the state, and through our continuing outreach to all archers throughout both the United States and the world as well.

Gifts of cash made outright, by bequest, or by a lifetime-income gift such as a trust may be directed to a variety of uses, including the purchase of tournament support materials and equipment, the support of special programs such as creating JOAD clubs and bringing quality coaching/training resources into Texas, or providing travel support for top Texas archers to journey the world representing the Lone Star State.

Outright or deferred gifts
An endowment can be established within the TSAA with a donation of $5,000 or more.  An endowment established today will continue to benefit the archers of Texas for generations to come.

Proceeds from endowments may be used for general or very specific purposes, depending on the wishes of the donor.  Suggested areas include (but are not limited to) support for equipment acquisitions, ongoing educational courses including parental training sessions, sponsoring travel expenses for TSAA champions for specific events such as world championships and Olympics/Paralympics.

Gifts honoring a friend or relative
A gift of a minimum of $100 may be made in memory or in honor (birthday, anniversary) of a friend or relative.  A specific, special, page will be created on the TSAA website for the honoree, including graphics and biography or information relating to the occasion of the gift as desired by the donor.  A letter of acknowledgment will be sent to the family or friend of the person in whose name the gift was made.   Please furnish your name and address (physical as well as electronic internet email address), the full name of the person to be honored or memorialized, the general purpose or cause of the gift, and the name and address of the family member(s) or friend(s) you wish to have notified of the donation.

Gifts of archery equipment
Gifts of bows, risers, limbs, arrows, target bales, and other functional and usable archery equipment allow the TSAA to provide beginning archers with equipment to help them participate in the sport.  The TSAA may choose to either loan or gift to Texas JOAD and archery clubs as the Board of Governors judges appropriate.  Gifts of new or collectible archery bows may be given with intent for auction and fundraising as well.  If you wish to donate archery equipment, please contact the President of the TSAA.

Acceptance and Appraisal of In-kind Gifts
All non-monetary gifts are accepted subject to approval of the Board of Governors.  The TSAA reserves the right to determine retention, location, and other considerations relating to use or disposition of gift materials.   The TSAA is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization recognized by both the state of Texas and the IRS.
The appraisal of a gift to the TSAA for income tax purposes is the responsibility of the donor.  The TSAA cannot appraise gifts made to it.  Donors may wish to discuss prospective donations, appraisals, and tax benefit considerations arising form the non-profit status of the TSAA with their financial and/or legal advisors.
